Dover Development Corporation
(Formerly Family Pride Corporation)
Dover Development Corporation, owned and operated by the Dover family, is an East Tennessee-based company specializing in building renovation and historic restoration projects.
But what makes us unique? Although we pursue a broad spectrum of restoration and renovation work, we specialize in turning neglected properties into state-of-the-art senior living facilities. We also place a high priority on environmental stewardship, choosing materials and designs that minimize the impact on our natural environment.
We’ve witnessed firsthand the amazing power of building restoration to breathe new life into broken neighborhoods, and that knowledge gives us an unshakeable passion for what we do. We also believe fundamentally in creating vital senior living communities that remain affordable for residents, offer personalized care, and leave a small footprint on the planet.
To put it simply, we believe in reclaiming the past to build communities for the future.
We serve as developer, builder, and general contractor for the projects we pursue. We seek out properties that have been neglected—we particularly love historic landmarks and local icons in need of rescue—and restore them using sustainable renovation practices. For those properties that we convert to senior communities or assisted living facilities, we contract with an excellent healthcare management company, Senior Solutions, to handle residential admission and run day-to-day operations.
We continue to own almost all the properties we develop, so you can be sure that we care about getting the project done right.
What Our Partners Say
It’s good to see the private sector working to meet a growing need in our community. I appreciate Rick and Dover [Development] for being good partners and for their continued investment in our community.
There’s no one around who’s a better advocate of veterans and senior adults.
